SHARPEN YOUR SKILLS AND IMPROVE YOUR BOTTOM LINE!

What you get in a seminar taught by Jonathan Scott:

  1. Results-producing information designed to improve your profits
  2. A seasoned practitioner who has lived and breathed what he teaches
  3. A tailor-made program that addresses the unique needs of your business
  4. A professional, uplifting session rooted in reality and presented with clarity
  5. Your money’s worth

What you don’t get:

  1. Endless slides, diagrams, and academic models
  2. A patronizing light and sound show
  3. High-brow buzzwords, flash-in the-pan gobbledy-gook and/or nonsensical jargon
  4. A presentation from someone with no practical business experience
  5. Hype or gimmicks
  6. A vacuous cheerleading session
  7. A comedy routine or a boring speech

Interested? Here’s how you can develop a successful education session for your business:

  1. Determine the needs of your employees.
What exactly is needed? Since most managerial subjects overlap to some degree, a general overview of several key topics is provided in most of my seminars, but you must determine the aim.

  2. Make certain I am the right person for you.
Management education is an educational endeavour. I am not an after dinner speaker nor do I dress up in a clown suit and toss balls of yarn around to explain the concept of networking. My job is to motivate and educate you and your employees with information that can be applied.

  3. Establish a date and time a month or two (or more) in advance.
Most good education seminars require two to six hours (with breaks) depending on what is needed. If you’re not sure how much time you need, let me know and we’ll work on it together.

  4. Write down what you want (and expect).
Once you believe that your priorities and my expertise match, clearly outline your needs and expectations in a formal letter or e-mail and send it to me.

  5. Share some basic information about your company and the audience.
Obviously I’m not interested in your company’s secrets, but do work with me to help me understand and familiarize myself with how your company works. Be specific about the size and demographics of the audience. And please let me know if there will be other presenters as well as the topics on which they will be speaking.

  6. Make preparations.
Ensure that the area in which we will meet is prepared and conducive to optimal use. Is there enough space? Is there a laptop hookup to a projector? Are the temperature and lights sufficient? Depending on the subjectmatter, I sometimes ask that a copy of my book The Concise Handbook of Management be purchased for each attendee. This ensures that the audience has something substantial to work with during the seminar and that the participants walk away with a recognized and valuable reference guide after the course or lesson has concluded.

Ordering and Fees

Fees are flexible and are contingent upon the type and length of the education session being sought.
Generally speaking, I expect to be paid what your company normally pays its management trainers. If you are doing this for the first time, please e-mail me and we'll work out a fee based on the number of hours and/or days worked.
Transportation, meals, taxis and hotel costs (if applicable) must also be paid.
